I'm brand new, have written the course but not produced it, and may be way off base here. It appears where a tool like Systeme.io is more focused on marketing (great website builder, funnel sequences, email marketing, deadline counter, multi-currency support, custom checkout, and about to add a scheduler and full CRM, etc.), Heights may be tuned for post-sale fulfillment (way better learner experience, gamification, dashboard, emails, certificates, analytics, AI for creators, etc.). I'm trying to decide on a platform and wondering if it wouldn't make sense to run pre-sale (e.g. the main website, blog, marketing funnel, and checkout) through a front-end specialist like Systeme.io and have the post-sale (e.g. LMS, community, etc.) on Heights? I could imagine hiccups with the API between the 2, but from what I understand, funnels (i.e. emails and pages served to prospects based on time spans or actions taken) sell courses… or maybe can Heights do advanced funnels?

Thanks!
Jason

p.s. Is there a way to use gamification points to automatically unlock advanced modules or provide discounts/rewards like free coaching? Maybe via Heights automation?
p.p.s. It looks like there's a heavy focus on AI in Heights. Which is incredible. Can students ask the AI questions?
p.p.p.s. If I have the text of the course in Obsidian (in a singular, monolithic MD file and maybe some supporting files), can I feed that to the AI and have it chunk it into modules inside the Heights LMS… or is the AI creation geared toward a more simple prompt with context, like "please make a course on potty training my puppy"?

Welcome @jason-benfer! You are correct that most other platforms are more focused on marketing tools whereas Heights is focused on learning/member experience.

While there are some creators using tools like ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit or ClickFunnels in combination with Heights Platform for more advanced email automation and web pages, you likely don't need this and those who are using separate website builders or checkouts are generally only doing that because they already had that setup with other products outside Heights. Creators who start on Heights generally stick with Heights for checkout, and this makes things easier on your end.

Heights has customizable checkout pages for every offer you create: https://support.heightsplatform.com/article/254-checkout-settings

Heights also has support for many currencies, and allows any combination of one-time, installment, subscription, and pay-what-you-want payment plans. You can add a product to as many bundles as you want in Heights to create multiple pricing tiers, hidden offers, or any number of pricing plans you need. You can also offer upsells and order bumps directly from Heights' checkout. (Our customers are more "creators" than "digital marketers" so you don't hear them online talking about how they are making millions with Heights, even if they are!)

With our web page builder, we don't specifically call the feature a "funnel" but you can create one page and then duplicate it to create different steps in the funnel. Each page can easily have a product card dragged onto it and linked to a specific checkout page.

For email, we provide lesson release emails for Challenges, and scheduled email campaigns, but if you want to have an email automation for leads who haven't enrolled in anything inside Heights, then you can connect a tool like ConvertKit or ActiveCampaign.

  1. Re: point redemption, this is not a feature yet, but is a popular request and we are planning this for the future, but don't have an ETA to announce at this time.

  2. Currently Heights AI is for creators to use only. We find that the AI tools to make an AI clone of yourself don't work well as it can too easily say incorrect things or things you don't want. We are considering ways to offer AI to your students in a customizable way in the future though. Right now Heights AI Chat can be thought of as your AI virtual assistant, and Heights AI Coach as your personal AI coach.

  3. Your unique message and experiences are what makes your content valuable compared to your competition so Heights AI is focused on helping you implement that easily. Heights AI can create an initial outline for your course to help kickstart creation, but after that you would use the AI Lesson Review feature to review content you add to each lesson and give you feedback. We don't have AI directly chunk and organize your content on its own at this time, but that's an interesting idea!
The AI lesson review is able to not only read the content of your lesson and understand it in context of your entire course, but can watch the video you've added to the lesson as well. We have an announcement video about this here: https://youtu.be/CRNh3wjXVs8

Feel free to email [email protected] any time with questions! We pride ourselves on the support we offer creators.
