Newbie here!

Hey guys, my name is Nile Kennedy and I'm a food content creator on Instagram. My page is called Yes Please Food. My goal is to create a place where my community can gather to share ideas, recipes, techniques etc.

My dream is to travel the world and learn about different cultures through food, and to document these experiences to share with my audience. The more I travel, the more I'll be reaching people in different countries, so that eventually this space will be an incredible resource of knowledge about the world of food.

I want to make a course so that people who join the group can have some content to get started with right away. I was thinking maybe a course that covers a few simple dishes/techniques to get started.

What do you guys think? Any ideas for how I can get started?

That sounds like a great approach. For many there is a big barrier of getting that initial product out there, but usually the best way to start is put something out and then continue to improve it.

It sounds like what is what you'd be doing. One of the great things about a business like this is it can always evolve. Your structure, content, format, pricing, etc can all change overtime to adapt for both what you enjoy the most and what your customers enjoy the most.

P.S. All the great food is one of my favorite things about traveling!

@nile-kennedy It takes a while to get going. I have discovered that sharing small snippets of my course content, such as teasers, piques people's interest enough to visit your page, and that offering a few free resources to entice them to sign up is also beneficial. It takes time, to be sure, but I find that simply chipping away at it means you are always making progress in some way.

The majority of my work week is spent in my LMS. It may be worthwhile to use specific celebratory days to maximise your food ideas, because so much of what happens around food, including travel and different country dishes, is a celebration.
