Hi everyone! Super excited to see Heights launch their new community. I'm loving the new community feature they've built.

Look forward to seeing everyone here.

OK @heights-platform how do I make that snazzy pop up box in my community??!! Very slick!

Thanks @barb-mcgrath! That popup introducing Creator Climb is from HelpScout which we use for customer support. We added a snippet the the custom code area that can display messages we create there. A number of similar tools work with Heights to allow you to display popup messages to certain members though so you don't have to use that.

ActiveCampaign's "site messages" feature does this, however I'm not sure if that is only available on certain plans, but if you add their site tracking script in your Heights account, you can display these with our integration. Plerdy is another tool we've used and I know some of our creators use as well which can also accomplish this.

I have to admit I'm missing the conversational nature of the Facebook Group. There are lots of great posts in the community but unless I turn ALL notifications on, it hard to keep up. ALL notifications would be crazy!

So my question/comment is, how do we actually make/use this as a community. Interactive, so more people beside the Heights folks, see and respond to questions. This is a great "talk to the Heights folks" community but when we want to talk to other Creators, troubleshoot, get ideas, how do we get that interaction.

The new build is amazing - don't get me wrong. It's just the community/interaction/feeback I am missing. :(

Thanks for the feedback Barb! The "unread" link at the top of the left sidebar menu is meant to help keep up with what's new. While channels get bolded/highlighted with new posts, when there are many it can be hard to keep up, so the unread tab can be seen as your "feed" view and more more similar to FB groups, except that you have the ability to clear posts from that tab either by clicking on them, or marking all as read with the button at the top.

Our hope is that the additional channels and separated topics in this community will not only encourage more discussion, but help creators read about specifically what they want to see.

I know you are pretty familiar with the community from a creator perspective after using it in your own course. If you still feel you haven't quite gotten used to it, and it doesn't feel better to you in the next couple weeks, please let us know because we definitely want you to feel that community interaction and feedback!

Hey @tiffany-hoeckelman after seeing your responses today I am 100% set on needing some emoji responses to acknowledge someone has said something but to not have to type "Hi back!" ha ha ha
